Thanks to Pablo Rangel, I heard your first CD and was instantly hooked. I am trying my best to get the good word of the Darlings out to the masses here in Colorado! I am constantly loaning my only copy to friends and coworkers, etc. People are impressed! You should really send a copy of your music to KBCO radio in Boulder, Colorado. Your music would be a perfect fit. They are best known for their Studio C broadcasts of new talent. Let me know if you're interested and I can provide their contacts. | Okay, so many of you have already heard about me getting a job playing for Billy Bacon and The Forbidden Pigs. Just thought I'd fill everyone in on the correct story. Last month, Billy called me and asked me to get together with him for an afternoon and see if our playing together clicked. It did and I became a Pig. We worked like hell for the next two weeks rehearsing the show. (Learning 75 songs in two weeks is rough on the brain!) Then my dad threw me a curveball by having a stroke. He's recovering and hopefully has very little permanent damage. However, he's been put on the 'light duty' list and obiligates me to go home and run the family business. Billy and I were very disappointed as the new union was working out smashingly. We'd both like to see my situation change and afford me the opportunity to again play with him. We'll see. However, never at any time did we ever plan on stopping as The Darlings. We were planning on scheduling dates around my off-days with Billy and continuing forward. In light of the recent developments, we're all more committed than ever to The Darlings. And all this new Billy Bacon-related work lately has really set my work ethic a-fire! There's loads more Darlings coming THIS YEAR!!!!!!! Thanks again to all the loyal fans who make this ridiculous amount of work seem effortless and enjoyable. You guys make our day! |
